Hip hop is currently the number one music genre in America. It stands to reason that if we are to meet younger Jews where they are and if we are to foster meaningful Jewish connections with our community’s young adults, then hip hop should be an important tool in our community’s toolbox.
WHAT WE DO
We build bridges between the rabbinic tradition of poetic interpretation and the introspective, observational, and poetic aspects of creation in hip hop.
Rappers & Rabbis is led by a collective of hip hop educators. Together we build community by creating events for artists, educators, parents and spiritual leaders which utilize elements of hip hop to explore and appreciate Judaism (and vice-versa).
